"Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to set us free from the present evil age.” (Gal 1:3-4)

This greeting from St. Paul is a reminder of what we, as Christians, are offered from God: grace and peace, freedom and life.  What a beautiful gift and then the reminder of how we are called to share this, not only the greeting, but the reality of these blessings lived in our lives. Amen.

Just as St. Paul greeted all Christians with these words of blessing, he more importantly continued to share the blessing of his lived faith with each person he met by sharing his story and opening his heart to those he encountered along the way.  This is one of the greatest challenges in the Christian life: How am I called to share my faith with those around me?  Over the past several months your priests have presented short video clips sharing different aspects of their faith journey; a Eucharistic encounter they experienced, a relationship with a particular saint that had a great impact on their life and a special devotion that helps them continue to walk the journey of faith.  And there is more to come.

Now it is your turn…Just as we, your priests, have shared these stories, would you like to share your stories of faith?  It is very simple but will take courage, because like St. Paul, our stories expose our hearts to others, but ultimately it allows our hearts to be filled.
If in prayer you feel the Holy Spirit moving you…do not be afraid…please contact Fr. Mark or Fr. Ryan and we will find a time to sit down and talk about your story of faith and how we can share it with our Catholic Church.

Lastly, once more, thank you for your continued support of our Parish, both in the Annual Diocesan Appeal and your weekly stewardship.  Please be assured of our care for your holy gifts offered in love to our parish and the greater diocese.  We are all called to share of our time, talent and treasure in support of the mission and work of the Church. “Gracia y paz a ustedes, de parte de Dios, nuestro Padre, y de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, quien se entregó así mismo por nuestros pecados, para librarnos de este mundo perverso”. (Gal 1,3-4)

Este saludo de San Pablo nos recuerda lo que Dios nos ofrece a los cristianos: gracia y paz, libertad y vida. ¡Qué hermoso regalo! Y, además, nos recuerda cómo estamos llamados a compartir esto: no sólo el saludo, sino la realidad de estas bendiciones vividas en nuestras vidas. Amén.

Así como San Pablo saludó a todos los cristianos con estas palabras de bendición, y aún más importante, continuó compartiendo la bendición de su fe vivida con cada persona que conoció, compartiendo su historia y abriendo su corazón a quienes se cruzaron en su camino. Este es uno de los mayores desafíos de la vida cristiana: ¿Cómo estoy llamado a compartir mi fe con quienes me rodean? En los últimos meses, sus sacerdotes hemos presentado breves videos que comparten diferentes aspectos de nuestro camino de fe: Un encuentro eucarístico que experimentamos, una relación con un santo en particular que tuvo un gran impacto en nuestras vidas y una devoción especial que nos ayuda a continuar nuestro camino de fe. Y aún hay más por venir.

Ahora es su turno… Así como nosotros, sus sacerdotes, hemos compartido estas historias, ¿les gustaría compartir las suyas? Es muy sencillo, pero requiere valentía, porque, como San Pablo, nuestras historias exponen nuestros corazones a los demás, pero en última instancia, permiten que nuestros corazones se llenen.

Si en la oración sienten la inspiración del Espíritu Santo… no tengan miedo… por favor, contacten al Padre Mark o al Padre Ryan y encontraremos un momento para sentarnos y hablar sobre su historia de fe y cómo podemos compartirla con nuestra Iglesia Católica.

Por último, una vez más, gracias por su continuo apoyo a nuestra parroquia, tanto en la Campaña Anual Diocesana como en su ayuda semanal. Les aseguramos que cuidamos sus dones sagrados, ofrecidos con amor a nuestra parroquia y a la diócesis en general. Todos estamos llamados a compartir nuestro tiempo, talento y recursos para apoyar la misión y la obra de la Iglesia.
