Baptism for Infants and Younger Children (Infant to 6 Years Old)

For young children seeking the Sacrament of Baptism, parents must have one initial interview with one of our priests and one 2-hour class for parents and godparents. A copy of the child’s birth certificate must be submitted during the interview.

Please note that godparents must meet all canonical qualifications for sponsors:

• Catholic who has been Baptized, Confirmed, and must have received First Eucharist
• At least 16 years old
• If married, married in the Catholic Church
• Living a life in harmony with the Catholic faith
• If two godparents, one male and one female

Baptism for Older Children and Teens (7 Years Old through High School)

This program includes the process of welcoming and introducing older children and teenagers to the Catholic Faith and providing preparation to receive the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, First Communion). Parents must contact the Director of Catechetics to schedule a family interview and also complete a Catechetical Registration form. A copy of the child’s birth certificate must be submitted during the interview.

Baptism for Adults (18+ and beyond)

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

• Are you interested in learning more about the Catholic Church?
• Are you unbaptized but recognize a need for spirituality in your life?
• Are you baptized Catholic but never received any formal religious education or have never received the sacraments of Confirmation or Reconciliation or Eucharist?
• Are you baptized into another denomination and want to become Catholic?
