My name is Ryan Mau. I am a seminarian for the Diocese of San José and in my fourth year of formation, after completing two years of Philosophy and two years of Theology at Mundelein Seminary, which is 40 miles north of Chicago, Illinois. The program takes six years to complete, and I hope to be ordained a deacon in 2023, and a priest in 2024. I am excited to be spending the spring semester with you here at St. Lawrence!
I am originally from Southern California and moved to the South Bay in 2015 to go to school at SJSU. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Radio, TV, and Film in 2017. I was a DJ at the radio station on campus, and also called play-by-play for some of the sports. I’m also a big supporter of the Newman Center on campus, as that’s where I heard God’s call to priesthood.
I enjoy traveling and supporting my hometown LA area sports teams (sorry everyone!) Please do not hesitate to introduce yourself to me, I would love to get to know you and your families.
I’ll be praying for you as I start my internship here at St. Lawrence!
